The core project of Omnio Healer, recombinant human Plasminogen, is a multi-domain glycoprotein with five kringles, an activation peptide and a protease domain. It consists of 791 amino acids and 24 internal disulfide bridges.

Plasminogen plays an essential role as a potent pro-inflammatory factor in host defense that regulates inflammatory reactions and wound healing. Plasminogen is a factor that stimulates good inflammatory reactions that are required in many host defense processes.

The effect of plasminogen has been established in several other models and these are currently evaluated and documented aiming at selecting follow-up indications in which clinical trials shall be conducted.
