The drug product for the lead indication TMP is formulated for easy use in the ear, i.e. ear drops. The eardrops should be administered once or twice daily. Disposable pipettes should preferably be used.

Intellectual property

Omnio Healer has filed a patent application (WO 03/020297) covering the use of plasminogen and plasmin for promoting wound healing, especially for promoting healing of tympanic membrane perforations. The use of plasminogen to treat tympanic membrane perforation is approved in the United States, Europe and China, expiry 2022. Divisional applications covering systemic and local injection of plasminogen for the treatment of tympanic membrane perforation have been filed and in addition several new proprietary molecules are in development with potential for substance and use patents.
